" Whilst proceeding through a home upgrade, we were directed to upgrade our 2 tank septic system by our Council’s Health Dep’t. One of their recommendations was to use a baffled 4000ltr poly tank and specifically mentioned an SEP4000 by Coerco. I researched the product online then called Craig at Coerco because the tank had to be located in a trafficable area. Craig was very helpful and sent several emails outlining how to install the tank and lid. Both my plumber and staff at Reece Plumbing had no idea that a trafficable lid was available for these tanks. Encouraged by Craig’s advice I ordered both items and received courteous notification of the expected arrival. The delivery driver was punctual, polite and efficient and we quickly unloaded the tank. I expected the lid to be heavy concrete like those on my existing two tanks but was quite surprised to find it is made from hard plastic, honeycomb like panels that interlock and are stiffened by inserting 20 mm poly pipe horizontally through the lid. Once installed above the tank you simply water in sand into the plastic matrix lid and this coversheet is engineered to protect the tank below. The system hasn’t been subjected to a lot of vehicular traffic as yet but I have driven a tractor on it with no problem! Council have passed the new system and it is in use. Previously we used concrete tanks which were much heavier and needed machinery to lift them. We generally needed two concrete tanks compared to the one poly tank with a baffle which we now use as standard. This means we can install them faster, with less work, and less digging.
